Terms of Service

Miki — effective October 17, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Miki, an AI travel companion app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Miki.

Your account

You need an account to use Miki. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for anything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has access to it. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, or at least 18 if you live in India.

Acceptable use

Use Miki the way it's meant to be used — to plan and manage your own trips. Don't:

Your content

You own the trip data, documents, and messages you put into Miki. By using the app, you give us the license we need to store, process, and display that content back to you — and to send it to the AI provider we use (see the Privacy Policy) so Miki can respond to you and extract itinerary details from what you upload. We don't use your content to train models, and we don't share it with anyone beyond what's described in the Privacy Policy.

If you share a trip with other people, they can see the itinerary, events, and documents on it, and — depending on the access you grant them — add to or edit it too, exactly as described in the Privacy Policy.

If you publish a trip to the Explore tab, you're choosing to make a copy of that itinerary — and your display name and profile photo — visible to every Miki user, and that copy then follows the trip as you change it, not just people on your trip. That's a broader license than the one above: by publishing, you give us permission to display that content publicly within the app until you remove it or delete your account. You can unpublish or update it at any time from the Explore tab.

Publishing also lets other Miki users use your trip as a starting point for their own. A traveller who taps "Clone this" gets a separate tentative plan in their own account (a draft in their Plan tab that they can later turn into a trip), built from what you published: the trip's title and destination, and each activity's title, time, place name, airline and icon, dated from a start date if they choose one. We don't copy your name, your photos, your uploaded documents, your Memories photos and videos or any amounts you spent, and the copy itself isn't linked back to your published trip. It belongs to the traveller who built it, so unpublishing or changing your trip, or deleting your account, doesn't change copies already made. Miki counts how many travellers have built a trip from yours and shows that number, as "trips inspired", on your entry in the Travellers list; it shows how many, never who. The same applies to the sample itineraries Miki curates, except that they have no count.

Community content and reporting

Miki lets you write on other travellers' profiles, comment on trips published to Explore, and publish trips of your own. You're responsible for what you post, including who you tag: a comment can tag people with their @username, and they will be notified, so don't use tags to harass or spam anyone. Don't post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or misleading, anything that infringes someone else's rights, or spam.

Private chats are for you and the one person you are talking to: don't use them to harass, threaten or spam anyone, to send unlawful or sexually explicit material, or to send files that contain malware. Only the two of you can read a private chat, but either of you can report a message in it, and when you do we read that message and may act on it, including suspending the account that sent it. You can report a post, a comment, a published trip, a profile or a private message using the flag icon next to it. Reports come straight to us. We review them and remove content that breaks these Terms, and we may suspend or terminate accounts that post it, in line with "Suspension and termination" below. Miki also checks what you write against a list of slurs, sexually explicit terms and direct threats, and won't post a message, comment or title that contains one. That check is automatic and imperfect, so reporting and blocking still matter: you can block the other person from inside a private chat, and we aim to review every report within 24 hours. You can always delete your own posts and comments, the owner of a profile can remove posts on it and block people from following them, and anyone can block another account to stop seeing its content.

Booking options

"Find booking links" is a research tool. Miki searches the public web for where an activity can be booked and shows up to three links in the activity's card, best rated first, with the rating and price each page shows. Prices (shown only in your home currency, at an approximate exchange rate), availability and ratings come from third-party web pages, can be wrong or out of date, and are not offers from Miki: check them on the seller's own page before you pay. Miki is not a travel agent or seller, does not take payment, and does not make or guarantee any booking. When you choose a link, you enter your details and pay the seller on its own website under its own terms, and any refund or dispute is between you and that seller. Miki receives no commission or payment from sellers. It picks by seller reputation, then ratings, as read from public pages by an AI model, and it may misread a page or miss a better seller. A booking confirmation you attach to an activity is your own document.

AI-generated content

Miki's replies, itinerary extraction, and destination guides are generated by an AI model. They can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Always verify anything that matters — flight times, prices, opening hours, visa or entry requirements — against the airline, hotel, venue, or official source directly before relying on it.

Travel information isn't a guarantee

Miki helps you plan and stay organized, but it isn't a travel agent, airline, or booking provider, and it doesn't guarantee the accuracy of any third-party information (flight status, place recommendations, opening hours, etc.). We're not responsible for missed flights, booking issues, or anything that goes wrong on your trip.

Suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time from Privacy & data controls in the app (tap your profile picture at the top right), which permanently removes your data. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion, with notice where reasonably possible.

Disclaimer of warranties

Miki is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its AI-generated content will be accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ajit Bhandary isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Miki, including anything related to missed travel, incorrect AI-generated information, or data loss.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the app changes. If a change is material, we'll update the effective date above and, where required, let you know in the app.
