How to Delete Your Account

Miki

You can permanently delete your Miki account and its data directly from the app, in under a minute. No need to contact support first.

In the app

  1. Open Miki and sign in.
  2. Tap your profile picture at the top right to open Settings.
  3. Tap Privacy.
  4. Tap Delete account.
  5. Review the confirmation screen — it offers a link to download a copy of your data first, if you want one — then confirm the deletion. If you signed in with Apple, Miki asks you to confirm with Apple at that point and then tells Apple to disconnect Miki from your Apple ID; we keep no Apple sign-in token afterwards.
Don't have the app installed? Email privacy@getmiki.app from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm your identity and process it manually.

What gets deleted

Once confirmed, deletion is permanent and can't be undone. Within 30 days, we permanently delete every trip you created, your itinerary events, chat history with Miki, the preference notes you keep in What Miki remembers, the ratings you've given its replies, uploaded documents, trip cover photos, feedback you've sent (including any screenshots you attached), your published trips, your comments and wall posts, the people you've blocked and followed, your notification history, and your profile (including your username). A copy of a feedback or report email we already received may remain in our inbox until we delete it, and records of how Miki's AI features were used are kept without your identity.

Payments you recorded between travellers are deleted with your account (the other person's balance then no longer includes them), and the screenshots you attached are deleted with it.

Your booking searches (the sellers Miki found, with their prices and ratings) are deleted with your plans and your account.

Your "Followers travelling nearby" settings are deleted with your account (and earlier, when the trip ends or you switch them off).

If a trip you created was shared with other people, it is not deleted for them: ownership passes to the member who has been on it longest, and the itinerary stays as part of their plan, no longer linked to your identity. The booking documents you uploaded to it are deleted. A trip you created that has no other members is deleted. If you only contributed to someone else's shared trip, the itinerary items you added stay as part of that trip, no longer linked to your identity, and the documents you uploaded are deleted.

Private chats. The messages you sent in private chats are deleted, including the photos, files and locations in them. The other person keeps the messages they sent, and the conversation shows you as a deleted traveller; they can still read it but can no longer reply. When both people have deleted their accounts, the conversation is removed. A reminder you set for another traveller on a shared trip stays for them.

The photos and videos you add to a trip's Memories tab are kept only on your phone: removing one in Miki deletes its copy at once, deleting a trip deletes that trip's copies, and deleting your account deletes them from the phone you delete it on. Miki's servers never hold them. Uninstalling the app removes them from a phone.

Before you delete

Deletion removes your access to everything above with no way to recover it afterward. If you'd like a copy first, use profile picture → Privacy → Download my data — the same screen also offers this link right before the final confirmation.
